Additionally, Curb also offers taxi fleet management software for\ntaxi companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>How to Become a Curb Driver<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Curb Driver App is a smartphone app that\nmatches taxi drivers with passengers on the Curb platform. Similar to Uber, the\nCurb platform allows drivers to receive, accept, and complete trips all from\ntheir smartphone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to drive for Curb, you must meet the\nfollowing criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Have a valid taxi license <\/li><li>Have a vehicle with valid taxi plates<\/li><li>Complete Curb driver training<\/li><li>Complete drug testing (Note: Curb does enforce random drug tests for all drivers)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you meet all the above requirements, follow\nthe below steps to become a Curb driver!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Download the Curb Driver app on your&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.verifone.curb.driver&amp;hl=en_US\" target=\"_blank\">Android<\/a>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/curb-driver\/id1342570911\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone<\/a>. Navigate to the \u201cSign Up\u201d tab.<\/li><li>Enter your email address and password, then tap \u201cSign Up\u201d at the bottom of your screen. <\/li><li>Read and accept the terms and conditions.<\/li><li>At this point you should receive a verification email from Curb. Open it up and tap the verification link.<\/li><li>Return to the Curb app and tap on the login button. You\u2019ll be asked to submit your contact information, including your first name, last name, and phone number. <\/li><li>You will be sent a confirmation code via text once you enter your phone number. On the following page in the Curb app, enter the confirmation code you received to verify your phone number.<\/li><li>Choose your geographic region.<\/li><li>Tap \u201cTaxi\u201d as your service type.<\/li><li>Enter your mailing address and add a profile photo. Tap \u201cConfirm\u201d.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/li><li>Next, you will need to add your driver and taxi license information and tap \u201cConfirm.\u201d<\/li><li>Once you have added your license information, enter your vehicle information which includes an image of your vehicle, your VIN, vehicle color, and license plate number. Tap \u201cConfirm.\u201d<\/li><li>Choose your preferred payment method (debit card or bank account) and add your payment details.<\/li><li>And finally, review your submitted information and tap \u201cDone.\u201d At this point Curb will review your application and will reach out to you with further details!<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are not currently a taxi driver or a part of a fleet, simply email <a href=\"mailto:Driver_Support@gocurb.com\">Driver_Support@gocurb.com<\/a> and they can connect you with a local fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Where is Curb currently accepting new Drivers?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Curb Driver app is currently only available for drivers in\nBoston, Chicago, New York City, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>How Much Do Curb Drivers Make?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As a Curb driver, your pay will always be calculated based on\nyour city\u2019s metered taxi rates minus Curb\u2019s commission fee. According to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.indeed.com\/cmp\/Curb\/salaries\/Taxi-Driver\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Indeed<\/a>, Curb drivers make an average of $17\nper hour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Can I drive for Curb and Uber Taxi at the same time?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are no stated rules against driving for both platforms at\nthe same time but both Uber and Curb do have penalties for drivers who cancel\ntrips so you will want to be careful if you choose to drive for both platforms\nat the same time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is Curb?
