Remember the show “Cash Cab” where unknowing NYC cab hailers were thrown into a moving taxi game show? Well, it seems Lyft has taken a page out of Cash Cabs playbook and started their own trivia game show, Lucky Lyft.
Available on YouTube, Lucky Lyft is an eight-episode series hosting Bob the Drag Queen. Bob is best known for winning the eighth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race but is also a comedienne, television star, and Billboard-charting musician. During the show Bob surprises riders or contestants with a chance to win up to $1,000 by correctly answering trivia questions as they navigate to the rider’s destination.
According to Lyft, “Contestants must work together to answer five trivia questions, each worth one star and $100. The stakes are raised in the “Risk Your Rating” bonus round, where the contestants can double their winnings or risk having them slashed in half. Backseat confetti, flying dollar bills, and Bob’s undeniably bright personality accompany us through trivia questions in genres ranging from ‘Music’ to ‘Grammar’ to the Lyft-themed ‘Think Pink.’”
